How long have you been in business?
That would be about 27 years. I'm starting to get really good at it.
What is your primary product or service?
Oil painting conservation/restoration, polychrome (painted) object conservation/restoration, and gilded frame restoration.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
After graduate school, I was employed as the Archivist for the Keystone-Mast Collection at the California Museum of Photography at the University of California. This is where I started coursework in conservation and preservation.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am a member of the American Institute for Conservation and several other professional organizations for conservators of art and cultural property.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We can be contacted for appointments in Santa Cruz. We can perform onsite evaluations but they are not free.

Coming from the Bay Area:
Hwy 17 to Hwy 1 towards Watsonville/Monterey.
Exit Soquel Ave. and turn Left on the frontage road.
Proceed one block to 17th Ave.
Turn Right towards the Pacific Ocean.
Proceed to the 3rd stoplight (about 1 mile).
Turn Left on Felt St. (school on right).
Drive to the end (8 blocks) and park directly in front of the front door.
Do not turn right on the private drive.
2510 Felt Street is clearly marked on the right.
Park in front of the Guest Parking sign.
From the Monterey Bay area:
Highway 1 to Santa Cruz.
Exit on 41st Ave. and drive toward the Pacific Ocean.
All turns will now be to the Right.
Proceed almost to the end of 41st Ave. to Portola Ave. (4 way stop sign).
Turn right and then right again at 24th Ave.
Drive 1 block and turn right at Felt St.
Proceed 1 block and park directly in front of the front door where you see the Guest Parking sign.
